"Renovation and landscape show light up BCA's Mill's Gallery" (caption) Ann Christensen: "Language of the Heart" While none of the painting in "Natural Immersion" is derivative in a negative sense, most of it does refer to landscape traditions - from Monet to Milton Avery. Ann Christensen's paintings are at the other end of the representational scale. The most literal works in the show, they're in the Milton Avery/Fairfield Porter line of bold lyricism. by Christine Temin |
